Start with the roof

This is a proposal of making roofs of future permanent houses as temporary dwellings for the asylum seekers. The triangular temporary dwellings are moved onto top of the newly constructed structure as a permanent roof, when the emergent lack of asylum seekers’ space has been solved. It is socially and financially sustainable if we could have a mind-set of making a part of future building in advance.

Start with the roof

シリア危機を背景にフィンランドに押し寄せた、滞在許可を待つ大量の難民のための仮設住宅の計画。仮設住宅として利用した三角形の構造を、後に恒久住宅の屋根構造として再利用することで、仮設が仮設として終わらない計画とした。

通常最初に作られる事はない屋根を先に作り、通常完成の後に使われる建物を工事の途中で一度使用に供するわけである。

建設の順番と時間をデザインすることで、建築の操作として問題に解答を示したいと思った。
